A SCOTSWOMAN murdered in America could give evidence from beyond the grave after her father was accused of a string of child sex abuse charges.
Tracy Brannan, 33, who was allegedly stabbed to death by her stepson David Brannan, had given a legal statement to lawyers in the US that was set to be presented to a court this week.
Her father Albert Wyatt, 78, of Hamilton, Lanarkshire, was due to go on trial after being charged with molesting two underage girls over a number of years dating back to 1976.
He faces a total of five charges spanning nine years to a final alleged incident on Christmas Day 1984.
Four of the charges allege he used lewd, indecent and libidinous practices towards two young girls at addresses in Hamilton, while the other relates to an assault. He denies all of the charges.
The trial was expected to start at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week but has been postponed until October.
In a statement through the family's solicitors, Tracy's brother Simon Wyatt said she had been a key witness in her father's defence. He said: "My father ... is subject to charges which he vigorously denies and Tracy supported his innocence 100%.

When Matthew Temple returns to Northeast High next month, he'll have a one-of-a-kind summer vacation tale to share with his classmates.
The 16-year-old from Pasadena, a rising sophomore at Northeast, left Friday for Pensacola, Fla., joining the crew of the USCGC James Rankin to assist with cleanup of the Gulf Coast oil spill.
The Rankin, a 175-foot buoy tender stationed at the Curtis Bay Coast Guard Yard, sailed down to the gulf on June 18. Its 26 crew members, most of whom are from the Baltimore area, have spent the past month sifting through the aftermath of the BP oil spill, the worst in U.S. history.
The Rankin is part of a group of 10 Coast Guard buoy tenders assisting with oil skimming in the Pensacola area. Since they arrived last month, the vessels have skimmed 1.5 million gallons of oil off the water, said Lt. David Lewald of Annapolis, who's in charge of the crew of the Rankin.
Now Matthew, a member of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps for high school students, will get to help them. He'll be onboard the vessel for eight days before returning home to Anne Arundel County.

Dating has gone hi tech, and as we sail through our 40?s and 50?s divorced and single again with children, it is my belief that some of us have been sufficiently wizened to realize that finding your life mate in a bar, is probably not the ideal.
